What is the difference between Raw and Virgin Hair?

While both terms imply high quality, they have distinct meanings.

  • Virgin Hair refers to hair that is chemically unprocessed (free from dyes, perms, etc.). It is sourced from a single donor with the cuticles intact.
  • Raw Hair is the purest form available. It is not only chemically unprocessed but has also never been altered by heat or steam processing. This is the highest grade of hair on the market.

How many ounces are in each bundle?

Each Sylk Ova Hair bundle is measured by weight, containing 3.5 ounces of hair.

How many bundles are recommended for a full installation?

 For a natural-looking, full-density installation, we recommend a minimum of two bundles. While other brands may require three or more, the high density and double-drawn nature of our wefts ensure a satisfying result with just two.

Can I color Sylk Ova Hair extensions?

Yes. Our hair is 100% raw and can be professionally colored and customized to your desired look. For optimal results and to maintain the hair's integrity, we strongly recommend any coloring be performed by a licensed professional colorist.

Can I use hot tools on my extensions?

Absolutely. Our extensions are fully heat-safe and can be styled with straighteners, blow dryers, and curling irons. One of the markers of true raw hair is its ability to revert to its natural texture after washing and conditioning, giving you ultimate styling flexibility.

How long will my hair extensions last?

With proper installation and maintenance, Sylk Ova Hair is an investment designed to last over 3 to 5 years.

How do I take care of my extensions?

Proper care is essential to maximizing the longevity of your investment.

  • Washing: Use a high-quality, sulfate-free shampoo and a hydrating conditioner. To prevent product build-up, use a clarifying shampoo as needed.
  • Detangling: Always brush or comb your hair from the ends up to the weft. When wet, use a Denman brush or wide-tooth comb with leave-in conditioner for best results.
  • Drying: Whenever possible, allow your hair to air-dry to maintain its integrity. If using a blow dryer, use a heat protectant and a low-heat setting.
